About SBI Small Cap Fund

The investment objective of SBI small cap fund is to provide the investors with opportunities for long-term growth in capital, along with the liquidity of an open-ended mutual fund scheme by investing in a basket of equity stocks (of small-cap companies). This scheme is benchmarked against ‘S&P BSE Smallcap’.

• Launch Date: This scheme was launched in 2009 on 9th September and currently the AMC stands at INR 1,141 Crore (at 31st October 2018). Formerly this scheme was known as SBI Small & Midcap Fund which was renamed as SBI Smallcap Fund (w.e.f. 16th May 2018). • Redemption: The proceeding of redemption is dispatched within 10 working days from the receipt requested by the recipient. However, exit load is charged if the redemption is requested within 12 months of purchase. • Risk Level: The riskmeter states ‘moderately high risk’ and suitable for investor(s) who are looking for capital growth in the long-term. • Fund Manager: The fund is managed by Mr. R Srinivasan since 2013. He holds an experience of more than 25 years.
