 About HDFC balanced Advantage Fund: 

 

The prime objective of the scheme is to provide long term capital appreciation, income from the investment of a dynamic mix of equity and debt instruments. There is no guarantee that the investment objective of the scheme will be realized.

  • The fund has provided more than 17.14% return since the start of the fund. 

  • Despite having hybrid in nature, the fund house has provided returns on par with equity diversified scheme.

  • Inception/ Launch date: 

The fund was launched on 11 September 2000. It is an open-ended scheme which was created after post-merger with HDFC Prudence Fund and HDFC Growth Fund. 

 

  • Risk Level: 

The riskometer access that the risk level of this fund is extremely high. The fund invests approx. 60% of its portfolio into equity instrument, while other portions are invested in debt. 

 

  • Redemptions: 

 

The fund house issue redemption after 10 business days from the date of receipt of the request. Exit load is charged, if redemptions are requested before 12 months of purchase beyond 15% holding. 

 

  • Fund Manager: 

The Fund manager of the HDFC balanced Advantage fund is Prashant Jain. He is among the distinguished name in the fund industry who completed 25 years in managing a single fund. Jain’s fund has generated an alpha of 9.54 percent over the Sensex. 

 

  • Entry and Exit Load:  

 

The entry load of the fund house is Nil. The exit load is up to 15% of the units for remaining units, 1% on or before 1 year and Nil after one year.
