About Franklin India Tex-Shield 

 

It is an open-ended equity linked scheme which prime aims is to provide medium to long term growth of capital along with income tax rebate. The fund manager primarily invests in equity and equity related scheme, along with taking exposure with PSU bonds and debt related instruments. They follow a bottom up approach and give priority to value.  

 

Pros and Cons of Franklin India Tax Shield Fund  

 

  • It helps an investor to save upto Rs 46,800 in taxes under the 80C of Income tax. 

  • It has the shortest lock in period, which allows an investor to take better decision with regards to interim volatility.

This fund is moderately high-risk fund bet and suitable for investors with having investment time horizon of longer period.  

 

3)  Redemption: 

 

These funds come in a lock-in period of more than 3 years from the date of allotment of units. In case of normal circumstances, your fund house will dispatch the redemption proceeds within 10 business days from the date of receipt of request.  

 

4)  Fund Manager: 

 

Lakshmikanth Reddy & R. Janakiraman is the fund manager of this Fund. Both has tons of experience in managing the fund. He has been associated with the fund Since May 2016.
