1) Launch date:
The scheme was launched on 1 December 1993. It is benchmarked against NIFTY Midcap 150 TRI.
2) Risk Level:
The access the fund risk as moderately high. The recommended investment horizon is 5 years or more for investment in this scheme. It has consistently declared a dividend every year for the last 20 years.
In the matter of redemption, Franklin India redeems all requests received up to 3 PM on that . But Redemption requests received post 3 PM are settled on subsequent business day’s NAV.
4) Fund Manager:
The Fund is managed by R. , Hari & Srikesh Nair. Mr R is vice president and portfolio manager equities for Franklin Templeton India AMC Ltd. He has been in the investment management industry for the past 13 years. Previously, he was associated with the Indian Syntax group and UTI securities. He has a post graduate diploma in Management from IIM Bangalore.
5) Entry and Exit Load:
They basically charged 1% exit load, if the units are redeemed within 1 year from the date of allotment. There is no exit load if the redemptions are done after one year.
